Magic Election 8-Ball

A good friend of mine likes to make predictions. He prefaces these with "Swami Jim predicts..." Sometimes he's right, other times, well... But it is fun to shake the 8-ball, as it were, and see what floats up.

So in that spirit I would like to try one. "Swami BornNBred predicts...on January 24 the election results are... pretty much what they were on January 22." Talk about an exercise in futility. Signs for the Christmas season read "No Interest until 2006". Signs for the election should read "No interest now until January 23".

Thanks NL-ExPatriate and Myles for the idea

Oh the Humanity! LOL

What do you think of the Green parties ploy at gaining publicity and media coverage by using the Seal hunt like the Easter Seal campaign?

Ha! Haven't heard anything from the Greens yet - I'll have to check them out

I did a sursory iew and I have to admit they weren't as far out in left or right field as I expected. Now as for their ability to rule, Govern? What would you call what government does? Govern is such a colonial colloquialism.
But it does pretty much describe what Ottawa does to the provinces at least in recent years under the Liberals.

Speaking of Predictions did you happen to hear Sue Dyer Knights predictions and election analysis on VOCM the other night?

She very eloquently predicted and explained her predictions of a East West base of power under the Conservatives. With policies towards nation building with Custodial Management, and a stop to the clawing back of Non-Renewable reourse revenues from the equalization formula.

Versus a liberal government with it's base of power in Ontario's 106 seats where by the Liberals will continue their Empire building for and from Ontario at the expence of the rest of the Colonies/provinces of Ontario Canada.
